The infrastructure gap

The corridor is enormous. The infrastructure has not been.

Every payment between Nigeria and Asia is friction-taxed at four points today. Kardit is built to remove each of them.

Friction · 01
5–7 days

Time.

A SWIFT bank wire takes a week to reach a supplier in Yiwu. A crypto-routed payment depends on broker availability. The corridor's largest trade flows still move on timelines from a previous decade.

Kardit settles in real time on supported flows.

Friction · 02
3–8% margin lost

Cost.

Informal agents add three to eight per cent in margin. FX spreads through fragmented banking add more. Stacked intermediary fees compound across every transaction in the chain.

Kardit collapses the intermediary layer onto a single regulated rail.

Friction · 03
40% estimated failure rate

Trust.

Informal channels carry compromise rates that reach forty per cent. Delays. Interceptions. Outright losses. No audit trail. No path to recourse. No proof to a tax authority or a counterparty that the payment moved at all.

Kardit is end-to-end traceable. Regulated. Audited.

Friction · 04
$1k typical monthly limit

Access.

Nigerian-issued international cards hit monthly limits within days. Visa and Mastercard acceptance in mainland China is materially lower than at home. The rail just isn't there for the volume the corridor needs to move.

Kardit, UnionPay-powered, built for corridor-scale volume.

Four frictions. One rail.

The corridor pays a tax at every step today. Kardit replaces the tax with infrastructure.
